Leisure Time - 7th August 2014

Thursday 7th August was booked for a badminton session at Dudley Leisure Centre between 11am to 1pm. We had a good turnout of 7 ladies and 12 kids. The turnout was better than we had expected. The ladies really enjoyed the session as it was different to what every other session consisted of. It allowed them to bring their kids along which was a bonus for them, and so both the ladies and the kids were allowed to play together and have fun, it felt as if they were given the opportunity to bond with their kids. Usually to play badminton you would have to pay for the badminton courts, and so not many ladies had played badminton before and the 7th August was the first time for them to have plaed the sport. They really enjoyed the session and did say they would like to play badminton again.

Our Comments:

At the beginning we were really anxious about the turnout, we were not sure about how many ladies would turn up to the session, because not many of the ladies had played badminton before and we were not sure if they would like to play badminton. However, we were really pleased with the turnout as it was better then what we had expected. The only problem we had was that the turnout of kids was big, and there were times when controlling the kids became difficult.
