In my previous employment I worked for a local community centre, this gave me a chance to work with a diverse range of people from different backgrounds and ethnicities. We helped the service users to access ESOL classes, computer classes and cooking to name a few. As a Community Hub Support Officer at Cfed I am looking forward to supporting the local community with issues they are facing and helping them to overcome these by offering advice and guidance and signposting them to other organisation that can support.
My employment background was working as a Teaching Assistant in primary schools supporting children aged 3-11 years . Whilst finding it a very rewarding role I felt that it was time for a change and recently took the plunge in changing my career path which took me to my recent previous role as Project Officer where I worked within the community offering support and guidance for job search, accessing training courses and volunteering opportunities. With the experience and knowledge I gained, I now work as a Community Hub Support Officer for Cfed. I have settled into the role really well and enjoy the diversity and variety that each day brings. I take pride in my job ensuring to offer the best help and support that I can for service users and the community.
